and just so happened that they are back to back...
we decided to take a road trip instead
and work remotely in between!
First stop was Kentucky...
We hung out in Grayson Co., E-town, Frankfort, Lexington and Louisville!
The wedding rehearsal dinner was held at
the Kentucky Derby Museum on Friday night!
It is located right next to Churchill Downs; it was my first time there!
We had the museum all to ourselves, it was very nice!
After the dinner event, we went to the race track!
It was the first ever night race, they had a DJ, stage set up, party...
the place was packed, and they ran out of beer and food!!
The wedding reception was at The Brown Hotel, downtown Louisville.
That's also where we stayed...
Open-bar, beef medallion, chicken piccata, cake, live band...
Very beautifully done :-)
Even Doug got up and danced ^___^
We went back to the country after all the wedding festivities...
I watched Doug ride a tractor and cut hay...
and we went frog-gigging.. hehee! My first time!
We didn't get any frogs, but it was still fun!
