Doug and I took a drive northwest of Red Deer
to a town called Rocky Mountain House.
We wanted to check out the Rocky Mountain House Historic Site
and take a hike!!
When we got there, it is already closed for the season :-(
seems like everything closes here in the winter time except for ski resorts!
So we drove out west a little more and found Twin Lakes and Crimson Lake!
Strolled on the trails for a while there...
there was fresh snow covering the ground...
it was snowing the whole time we were there...
so beautiful!!

He was fishing!!!
We were walking on the swamp!
It was not completely frozen, and moved if you jump on it really hard!!
Then we saw elks driving on the country road!!
